I, too, was in a classroom (student teaching) and my teacher just happened to be out that day. No sub. Just me and the kids. Someone came in and told me we were being bombed. I don't think anyone really knew exactly what was happening. I called Ryan immediately and his usual skeptic self thought I was nuts. I remember the sound of his voice when he turned on the news. He sounded strange to me. He sounded shocked and devastated at the same time. It scared me. We then went code red b/c there was someone outside the school with a knife or something.
